50 new people to teach!

Hello everyone!!! First of all I have to start off by saying I LOVE THIS CHURCH! And I LOVE BEING A MORMON! This week I have heard a lot of good news from home that a lot of my family members that are not in the church are looking into it and going to church on sunday! So I am so grateful to the lord for hearing my prayers and for blessing me soooo much! I love my mission and everything it has done for me and for my family! This week I had to buy new pants! For a lack of words I blew out my pants with my big butt haha. But thats okay because I got new ones:)! Also I got a haircut from a french lady! It was a little expensive but totally worth it! So much fun haha i was trying to explain what I wanted and we ended up deciding that I wanted to look like David Beckham. So yeah it went great. Also this week we found a lot of new people to teach! One of who is named Tommy he is so cool. We helped him move on saturday and he was so thankful that he invited us to this huge BBQ with nothing but africans! My companion and I were the only white people there and had tags and a tie on haha! But they loved us and were so nice! And we are meeting them next saturday too! Hello 50 new people to teach ;)! The lord is amazing and I am so lucky to be here and getting to experience these things! However this week I had the Crêpe special!

I can not go into much detail because I promised to never tell what is inside but it was rough! I will never do it again but I have joined the club that only Brest missionaries can join! It was rough haha I threw up like 20 times but it was very very funny! It is made by a member in Brest and is only for the missionaries she likes haha! So much fun! Great week though and so grateful for all of you and for this church! CHURCH IS TRUE!!!<3 love you all - Elder Karl

Avoiding the beach! :o)

Hello everyone! Everything is well in Brest, and I am doing great. This week we set a baptism date with a lady named mercy! She has 3 sons and she has come to church 3 times now!!! Really excited for her and can't wait to see what else is in store for her. Also this week our shower got fixed which makes me super happy. Being clean is a good thing ;). The weather here has been beautiful so we have been trying to contact at the beach as much as we can but we went this week and everyone was naked lol so... no more going to the beach haha! Also we found a guy named Fitzgerald he is from miami and is a rapper!

But he wants to change his life and to be baptized so thats awesome! He is so funny and loves when we come over! Super excited for him! Lastly we had a pet this week! We said a prayer before leaving the apartment like alawyas and when we opened the door a cat ran into our apartment!

He was very cute however we had to kick him out.. no pets as missionaires! But super fun week and love my mission and all of you! -Elder Karl

Some cool sights!

Hello everybody hope you are all doing well. This week was so amazing, i love my mission.So on P-day we went to an old military castle that then was used for a prison then as a military fort again haha. It was just amazing and sooo big. 

Also this week we had zone conference and we had to wake up at 4 am because we had to walk to the train station because none of the buses run that early in the morning. But we made our train and went to Renne for Zone conference and had interviews with the mission president which went really well and was a lot of fun to be with all the other missionaries. Then after i went on an exchange with Elder Perez! He is french and is from the very south of france. He is so legit and made me laugh so hard! We went to a chinese buffet together and ate so much we almost got sick.

the lord continues to bless me so much, why i will never know I don't deserve all these blessings but I am very grateful. The highlight of my week though was that I got to call home to my beautiful family! everyone is doing well and I love and miss them very much but they are the best and support me so much!<3 Love you all- Elder Karl

An amazing week!

Another week another person! Hello everybody hope you are all doing well. This week has been really amazing I have never seen so much success on my mission before! Knock on wood lol but things are just coming so easy and we are meeting people who are so prepared. This week our 85 year old DMP took us to this really old military castle thats on the beach.

It was used for WW2 or something haha. But it was super beautiful and really cool. I love looking at the ocean here really helps to relax and get your mind off of the world.

Later that week it turns out on the first of May everyone has work off. Not sure why but all of the transportation was off so we had to try to walk everywhere! Made things a little bit hard but was a good work out I guess. Also this week we met a guy named Eric. We ported into him one night and he was really happy to meet us. He said we were the answer to his prayer and that he wants to know more! It was really amazing and got Elder Ricks and I super pumped up! Also we met a lady named Macy, who has 3 sons, this week! She was super happy to find out we spoke english because she does not know french! Turns out she has been looking for a church to go to! And she came to church this sunday with her whole family! It was a huge miracle. And finally we met a young african guy named Fabrice. Is so our age and super cool! He calls us everyday to make sure we don't forget about our meetings with him and lessons! He is so awesome we have really been blessed by the Lord and I am super excited to see what happens with all of these people! Sorry I don't have a lot to write about I forget about a lot of things! lol But thank you for all the support and love! I love you all - Elder Karl
