Another baptism!

Missionary forever!
Whats up everybody! Man the weeks just go by faster and faster! Well we have a baptism coming up! YAY!!!! Its the 16 of august with our ami Stephen! Hey is so cool and so excited gonna be at the beach again ;)! We are having a member do the baptism! Super cool way to get him friends in the church! Also this week I went on 2 exchanges. I had one with Elder Brockbank! I knew him from when I was in Belgium so it was nice to get to see and work with him again! We did a family home evening with Stephen and his family went really well! Then I had an exchange with Elder Bigler! I went to Lorient it is a super nice ville in france! But some pretty crazy things happened there... I was sitting at the bus stop waiting for the bus to come when a little tiny man comes up to me! He asks me about my name tag and what it means! So I explain to him why I am in france and a little about Jesus Christ!  He seemed very interested and sat down and talk to me some more! However then the conversation took a huge turn when he asked if i was gay! I said no not really hahaha and he said oh that's too bad! Elder Bigler and I just sat their and didn't know what to say! then the man puts his hand on my leg and starts asking more strange questions, at this point Elder Bigler is standing up and just staring at me and this man! But as a missionary we are not aloud to fight or to do anything that with reflect badly to the church! So I just testified about how God loves us and how families can be together forever then stood up and walked away! While I walked away he yelled some bad words at me and how I was a bad person but I just kept walking! probably the strangest night of my life that's for sure! And to make it worse it has been  super hot here so the guy was wearing short shorts haha oh my! On a good note though we had 3 people come to church sunday and the work is going well! Thank you all for your love and support and know that God loves us all! Elder Karl

Cereal, fights, and rain

Bonjour everybody! another very busy and fun filled week. First of all Elder Stucki and I are doing this challenge where we only eat cereal for 6 weeks... needless to say I am getting sick of cereal already haha! But we are trying to stay strong. Also this week I got to go on an exchange with Elder Lloyd, he is from my same MTC group so it was super cool to get to go out together and to do WORK! Super fun and had a lot of success found a cool guy named fred and we taught him about the book of mormon and he wanted to know more! So hopefully it will keep going well with him. Also we taught david this week (our recent convert) and he went like crazy on us and there was almost a fight! i won't get into too much detail but it was one of the most insane nights of my mission that's for sure. On a lighter note though it rained for 2 days straight and my umbrella is broken so I got very wet and people really gave it to me. But hey i would probably make fun of a guy who is all wet and trying to talk to me about Jesus. Guess what!? Fitzgerald is back!!! He left for a little to go on vacation but is back and said he wants to change his life and join our church! How crazy is that? Church is true!!! but that has been my week full of cereal, fights, and rain let the good times keep on rolling! Love you all Elder Karl

Also Elder Lloyd from my MTC group is in my district and we get to go on exchanges! Gonna be super tight! Also this week David the guy we baptized got the priesthood! It is amazing to see how much he has grown in such a short time and to have had the opportunity to be a part of it! driving the car has gotten more fun then scary so that is good! Still not the best with stick but I just close my eyes and gun it! ;)
Road trip
Just kidding i'm sure my dad is looking up the price of a speeding ticket in france haha! I just really want to thank everyone, whoever you may be who reads these emails and who pray for me! Beware, Elder Karl gets a car.. !

Hello everybody this week has been super busy and super crazy! First off we got a new mission president who is super tight and legit. I like him a lot. And also I am staying in Breast for another transfer my companion is leaving and I am getting a new on in 2 days! I heard my new comp is cool but who knows! So we had our zone conference in Angers which is 8 hours away so the trip there was long and hot! Not too much fun traveling in a suit. While we were there i was informed by the mission president that he was giving us a car! I said great when do we get it? He said right now! I said oh.. And he said your the only one with a European license so you are the only one who can drive it! And its a stick!!!! For those of you who don't know I have never driven a stick before and to make it better I am in a different country where driving is crazy! So I had to drive myself and 3 other Elders from Angers to Breast! That's an 8 hour drive just about! So it was a good time to practice haha but I got us home without a wreck that's all I will say about that Road trip. Also one of our amis Stefen agreed to be baptized so we have another baptism this month! Super stoked about that. On Sunday confirmed David a member of the church and I gave him the holy ghost! It was a cool experience to do that. Something funny this week too was our friend Manuel the guy from Peru that we helped find the church again had us over and gave us jerseys and hats and all kinds of gifts from Peru because he was so thankful we helped him find the church again! Really amazing guy! Also a member took us to some old ww2 sites and a cave and all kinds of crazy things! It was a really great week! Love my mission so much<3
